System 7 Aluminium Decking Supplied to The Rockfish Restaurant, Sidmouth

AliDeck were pleased to supply our System 7 Aluminium Decking to The Rockfish Restaurant in Sidmouth, Devon. Main contractor Skinner Construction specified the system, with Amson Solutions carrying out the installation across the terrace areas and the project’s moat area.

The system was supplied in Sand, one of our most popular colours, as it works really well in a coastal setting. This was used across the whole project, giving a clean, cohesive finish throughout.

Lite Board on Eco 30 Joist and Adjustable Pedestals for the Terrace Areas

For the terrace areas, we supplied our Lite Board on Eco 30 Joist and Adjustable Pedestals. The Lite Board is one of our most cost-effective solutions and is specifically designed to be an entry-level aluminium decking board, perfect for retrofit or replacement decking applications. It is Fire Resistant, Slip Resistant, and comes with a 30-year product warranty.

The Eco 30 Joist and Adjustable Pedestals is a fixed-height pedestal that sits beneath the boards to create a level surface and allow drainage underneath. It’s a straightforward, reliable way to achieve the right build-up height and protect whatever’s underneath the decking.

Qualicoat Accredited Powder-Coating in Sand Yellow

As part of our commitment to the continual development of our aluminium decking range, we offer an extended selection of 15 standard colours, all certified A2-s1, d0 and A2fI-s1, including Sand Yellow. We operate a Qualicoat Accredited Powder-Coating Plant in our 75,000 square foot warehouse — a game-changing shift in the way we operate. Examples of how Qualicoat benefits our customers include:

  • Superior Quality
  • Enhanced Durability
  • Optimal Protection
  • Aesthetic Appeal
  • Peace of Mind

Supa Joist Integration in the Moat Area

The moat area required a slightly different approach. Here, we introduced the Supa Joist into the same System 7 build-up alongside the Lite Board and Eco 30 Pedestals. Our Supa Joist is our heavy-duty support bearer, designed for installations that require extreme spans. With a 105mm profile height, the Supa Joist’s extreme strength allows for a maximum recommended span of 3500mm. It has been designed to integrate seamlessly with the AliDeck system, and the bolt channels allow for quick installation times.

Because the same board and colour were used across both areas, the overall result ties together neatly. Amson Solutions were able to work with a consistent system throughout — which always helps on site.

Built for Coastal Hospitality Environments

A busy restaurant terrace in a coastal town is a demanding environment. It needs to handle a lot of foot traffic, cope with the weather, and still look good. Aluminium decking is well suited to this kind of use — it’s non-combustible, rated A2-s1, d0 for fire performance, and built to last without the ongoing maintenance that comes with timber or composite.
