AliDeck Aluminium Decking Standard Colours

Our high-performance Qualicoat powder coat colours are engineered for superior slip and wear resistance, and meet the highest fire safety standards. As part of our commitment to continual development of our range of aluminium decking products, we offer an extended range of 10 standard colours, all certified A2-s1, d0 and A2fl-s1.

To complement our existing Textured Sand and Textured Silver Grey, we now offer the following RAL colours as standard:

  • Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016)
  • Grey Beige (RAL 1019)
  • Stone Grey (RAL 7030)
  • Quartz Grey (RAL 7039)
  • Clay Brown (RAL 8003)
  • Sepia Brown (RAL 8014)
  • Beige Grey (RAL 7006)
  • Jet Black (RAL 9005)

All AliDeck Standard Colours are specially formulated to provide the required slip-resistance performance via additives within the powder-coat application process.

Non-standard colours are available on request as special orders, but may affect cost and lead-time. Certain components can also be supplied in mill finish to achieve A1 fire rating.

Qualicoat Accredited Protective Finish & Testing

AliDeck powder-coats all products to Qualicoat Seaside Standard using only Class 2 powders, providing exceptional durability against salt corrosion, UV damage, and weathering. Our seven-stage pre-treatment process and six-stage testing procedure ensure maximum adhesion, corrosion resistance, and long-lasting performance in harsh environments.

Light Reflectance Values (LRV) for Accessibility & Safety

Light Reflectance Value (LRV) measures how much visible light a surface reflects, expressed as a percentage from 0 (pure black) to 100 (pure white). LRV values are essential for public access projects where building regulations require specific contrasts to assist people with visual impairments.

For example, staircases must have contrasting LRV values between the main walking surface and step nosing to provide clear visual definition and prevent accidents. This is particularly important in accessible design and regulatory compliance.

Surface Finish Considerations

While LRV is primarily determined by colour, the surface finish can subtly affect light reflection. Powder coating may appear slightly brighter on smooth surfaces such as railings, while appearing marginally duller on textured deck boards. This is due to how light interacts with different surface profiles, though the underlying colour specification remains consistent.
