Balcony Remediation Project at Westfield House

AliDeck recently visited Westfield House, where our Ultra Board has been used as part of a balcony remediation project to replace the building's existing composite decking.

Working alongside installer CPS Contracting and main contactor GPF Lewis, the project has seen the existing decking replaced with a non-combustible aluminium solution, complete with integrated drainage.

Replacing the Existing Composite Decking

Our Ultra Board was selected for the project, providing a non-combustible aluminium decking solution. Our decking boards are tested to the highest standards, for example:

  • Slip Resistance
  • Fire Performance
  • Wear Resistance
  • Wind Uplift
  • Span & Deflection

The Ultra Board features an exclusive drainage channel that captures water at deck level and diverts it towards the gutters at the end of the boards. At Westfield House, this helps prevent water flowing freely from one balcony level to another.

An Efficient Installation

The decking was installed by CPS Contracting, with GPF Lewis acting as the main contractor on site. The project was split into two separate orders, allowing each elevation to be completed individually. This allowed the project to finish ahead of schedule.

During a recent site visit, our Technical Sales Manager, Mike, received positive feedback from those involved.

Another Successful Remediation Project

The Westfield House project demonstrates how our Ultra Board can be used to replace existing composite decking while providing additional drainage and fire safety benefits.
