Galway Rowing Club recently sought to refurbish their outdoor terrace following significant deterioration of their previous decking. With safety concerns rising and the deck surface no longer fit for purpose, the club needed a hard-wearing, long-life solution built for constant use and coastal exposure.

AliDeck worked closely with Celuplast to deliver a complete aluminium decking system, supplying our Supa Joist support system and Senior Ridged Decking Board. This was a full remediation project, triggered by the failure of the existing timber deck. Years of coastal exposure and high footfall had taken their toll, leading to deterioration, safety concerns, and an urgent need for a future-proof alternative.

Both elements are finished to Qualicoat Seaside Standard, a high-spec marine-grade powder coating that undergoes a 7-stage pre-treatment process including 2g/m² surface etching and a 6-stage testing regime. This guarantees exceptional corrosion resistance and surface durability, even in exposed locations such as this.

Throughout the process, Louis — our Head of Sales — was directly involved, coordinating closely with Celuplast and the installation team. Louis’s regular visits to Ireland ensure our clients and partners always have access to expert advice and technical reassurance at every project stage.
