We are delighted, then, to announce our latest product innovation; the AliDeck Ultra Board.

The Ultra Board is an extra-wide aluminium decking board, with a top surface width of 175mm. This extra width allows for fewer individual boards to be used on each balcony, speeding up installation time significantly.

With this extra overall width, we have been able to increase the width of the concealed fixing channel that runs along the centre of the board. Now boasting a 60mm wide fixings channel, this allows for lifting eyes to be placed with all decking boards in-situ for craning into position on site.

A further key feature of the Ultra Board is its built-in drainage channel. With stringent requirements for effective management of water outlined in BS8579:2020, the guide to the design of balconies and terraces, and similar requirements from the various Building Control organisations, drainage of balconies is an essential consideration.

With a Drainage Channel within the board profile itself, water is captured and diverted for evacuation to gutters at the board ends. The interlocking nature of the boards when installed also means that the Ultra Board provides a gap-free deck, achieving an imperforate layer in the balcony to help prevent the spread of fire and smoke.

The AliDeck Ultra Board has been designed with balcony manufacturers in mind and is tailor-made to meet the requirements of those involved in the fabrication of bolt-on and slide-on balconies.
