Industry Leaders Visit Alideck
We were pleased to welcome senior representatives from the Aluminium Federation (ALFED) to our Kent headquarters, showcasing our commitment to British manufacturing, sustainable growth, innovation and skills development.
Since we established the business in 2019, we have grown significantly and now employ almost 100 people at our headquarters on Medway City Estate, Rochester. As specialists in aluminium extrusions, we design and produce aluminium decking systems and other balcony components, supporting high-rise balcony manufacturers, construction companies, steel fabricators and architects across the UK and Ireland.

During the visit, we welcomed ALFED’s Chief Executive Officer, Nadine Bloxsome, and Industry & Skills Development Manager, Rachel Wiffen. We spent time with the ALFED team discussing our growth journey, manufacturing approach and future ambitions, as well as our commitment to Made in Britain principles, sustainable manufacturing practices, product innovation, design-led solutions and workforce development.
We also gave the ALFED team a tour of our business and operations, with discussions covering industry sustainability challenges, aluminium recycling and resource efficiency, custom extrusion solutions, manufacturing innovation, and the opportunities presented by skills and training initiatives across the sector.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore how we can work more closely with ALFED through specialist industry groups and collaborative initiatives.

Following the visit, Nadine Bloxsome said: “It was a pleasure to visit AliDeck and see first-hand the passion, investment and expertise that underpin the business. The company’s commitment to UK manufacturing, innovation and sustainability demonstrates the important role that forward-thinking aluminium businesses play in supporting economic growth and the transition to a more sustainable future.
“We were particularly encouraged by AliDeck’s focus on continuous improvement, skills development and creating long-term value for customers and the wider industry.”
Our Founder and Chairman, Mark Wood, added: “We were delighted to welcome Nadine and Rachel to AliDeck and to share more about our journey, our people and our vision for the future.
“Sustainability, innovation and British manufacturing are at the heart of everything we do, and it was valuable to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing our industry. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with ALFED and working together on initiatives that support the growth and long-term success of the UK aluminium sector.”
During the visit, we also discussed wider industry developments, including sustainability initiatives and the recent approval of our Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). Skills training and the evolving regulatory landscape for aluminium manufacturers were also high on the agenda.
We recognise the importance of collaboration in helping businesses share best practice, address common challenges and support the future development of the UK aluminium sector. We look forward to continuing our work with ALFED and contributing to the long-term growth and success of the industry.
