How British Manufacturing Benefits AliDeck and Our Customers

At AliDeck, we’ve always believed in investing in British manufacturing. As a proud Made in Britain member, we manufacture our aluminium balcony component systems here in the UK, in our very own 75,000 sq ft warehouse in Rochester, Kent. On top of manufacturing here, we also powder-coat our products on our Qualicoat Accredited Powder-Coating Line.

But what does Made in Britain actually mean, and how can it benefit you and your project?

Made in Britain is a recognised organisation that brings together British manufacturers, helping customers identify products that are manufactured in the UK. Our membership shows our commitment to British manufacturing, supporting local industry and jobs, and maintaining a UK-based supply chain.

All of our aluminium extrusions are produced in Britain, with our products manufactured, powder-coated, and quality checked at our H.Q. For our customers, this means knowing where their products come from, how they are manufactured and who to contact if they need support.

In January 2022, we moved into our headquarters. Across the AliDeck H.Q. we have our aluminium stockholding, pre-fabrication, cutting, powder-coating, and quality control operations. One of the biggest benefits of having these processes in-house is that we’re not relying on external suppliers for every stage of production. For example, if you require specific lengths, additional components or a free sample, we can get these to you quickly.

This is particularly useful for steel fabricators and balcony manufacturers, where decking systems often need to work around specific steel structures and project dimensions.

AliDeck’s UK manufacturing operations offer several benefits to our customers, particularly when it comes to lead times, flexibility, and quality control. Made in Britain has many benefits that take AliDeck to the next level, for example:

At our headquarters, we regularly welcome customers, architects, and contractors for factory tours. This gives them the opportunity to see how our aluminium balcony components are manufactured, finished, and prepared for delivery.

Visitors will be toured around our showroom, our in-house Qualicoat-accredited powder-coating facility, our CNC machining areas, and shown our aluminium stock. We also offer product demonstrations, and installation training at our AliDeck Installation Training Academy.

Our UK operations extend beyond manufacturing, with our own fleet of 26-tonne HIAB delivery vehicles, supplying projects across the UK and Ireland. This gives us greater control over delivery schedules, reduces our reliance on external haulage companies, and helps customers keep their projects on track and on time.
