This video demonstrates the hassle-free installation for System 1, comprised of our Senior Balcony Boards, Low Joists, and Adjustable Pedestal Brackets, onto the waterproof membrane of a concrete balcony, also suitable for steel projecting balconies.

There are 3 core components of System 1: Senior Decking Board, Low Joist & Adjustable Pedestal Brackets (see below).

Senior Decking Board

AliDeck Senior Decking Boards are specifically designed for installations on steel or concrete balconies, terrace decks, or walkway areas.

Boards can be cut to size along both the length and width.

Senior Decking Board Benefits Include

FIRE RESISTANCE: The boards are manufactured completely from aluminium and are therefore fire resistant and non-combustible to A2-s1, d0 and A2fl-s1 when coated
DRAINAGE: They can also be spaced to allow for varying drainage requirements and are compatible with the AliDeck Balcony Drainage System
AESTHETICS: Aesthetics are key to a great finish; our boards are designed to look like decking but not to feel like aluminium

INSTALLATION: Speed and ease of installation are key to any project, so we have designed a board that has a unique invisible (structural) top clip system which can be installed from the top down. The board can also be trimmed down the length to match any projection of balcony and still be structurally stable across the whole plank.

Please Note: The test is conducted 8 times, with the first three tests being ‘warm up tests’ the data then starts to be recorded upon the 4th test. The average is taken from the 5 tests and is shown in the column marked MEAN. The directions are; Length, Width & Diagonal. Each direction has a score depending on wet and dry conditions. Direction A is length, direction B is width, and direction C is diagonal. The tests were carried out in accordance with BS7976 part 2. The full test report is available on our downloads page.

AliDeck Low Joist

The AliDeck Low Joist is our low-profile joist option, designed to act as both a support post and a large-spanning joist. Compatible with all AliDeck decking boards and fully compliant with fire regulations. Specifically designed for use on steel or concrete balconies, terrace deck, or walkway areas that require adjustable heights.

The Low Joist can span a maximum of 1200mm when laid flat, and 1500mm on edge, between pedestals on a 4kN distributed loading.

AliDeck low joists have been designed to work in conjunction with the AliDeck adjustable pedestals and the rest of the AliDeck board range.

Adjustable Pedestal Brackets

Low Profile Adjustable Brackets are a solution driven product, specifically designed for installations where a low threshold is required but can be used for build-up heights from 50- 300mm. This Al fire rated product is cost effective and quick to install. It works seamlessly with all of our Joists. Contact us for standard sizes.
