AliClad is our range of non-combustible aluminium soffit cladding for balconies.
Soffit cladding is the cladding used to conceal the underside of balconies.
Soffit cladding provides a neat aesthetic finish to a balcony underside by concealing the internal structure from view. Having an imperforate layer in the soffit also helps to prevent fire and smoke spread, as well as prevents any debris or water from falling to balconies below.
AliClad is available in three types; AliClad Flow, AliClad Decor, and AliClad Lite.
AliClad Flow is our balcony soffit water-management solution, designed to provide compliant edge-drainage as far from the building as possible at the front edge.
AliClad soffit cladding is fire-rated A2,s1-d0.
AliClad Flow and AliClad Decor require support when the span exceeds 1200mm. AliClad Lite’s maximum span between supports is 1000mm.
Yes, edge drainage as provided by AliClad Flow is compliant with the requirements of BS8579:2020.
