Although no cause has yet been determined the balcony was totally destroyed. 25 Firefighters attended the scene from a number of fire crews located at nearby stations in the city. Resources are therefore stretched thin in these four regions should another emergency occur.

A man, woman, and child were all treated at the scene and we are fortunate that this was the extent of the harm outside of the physical damage to the balcony and part of the flat.
