AliDeck are proud to announce the launch of a new cost-effective, non-combustible aluminium decking board, the AliDeck Lite Board

As part of our commitment to the continual development and improvement of our range of aluminium decking products, AliDeck invests a great deal of time and energy into understanding precisely what our trade partners requirements are.

Following many conversations with colleagues involved in estate and portfolio management in the public sector, it became clear that a quick-fit, low-profile, cost-effective metal decking solution was urgently required. Faced with the monumental task of replacing existing combustible timber and composite decking on their properties with compliant and safe alternatives, housing associations and local authorities were crying out for a simple answer to their problem.

With our in-house research and development, mechanical-engineering and product design team, we were able to quickly design and test a range of options using CAD and 3D printing. Working closely with our extrusion partners, we honed our board specification to deliver maximum strength and safety whilst using minimum material and maintaining a low-profile board design.

After a lot of hard work and thinking, the AliDeck Lite Range came to being and we are delighted to have just taken delivery of our first batch of finished product. Consisting of the AliDeck Lite Board and Lite Joist, the AliDeck Lite Range is purpose-designed to deliver a cost-effective and easy-to-install solution to the retrofit and replacement market. Spanning 400mm centre to centre under a 4kN distributed load, the AliDeck Lite Board can quickly and directly replace existing non-compliant decking boards.

With a unique clip-in fixing method, maximum flexibility is achieved for an easy and quick installation. Finished in either Grey or Sand Qualicoat powder-coating, the AliDeck Lite Board is a durable and aesthetically beautiful decking product and is fully compliant with all new fire safety legislation. Made from 100% aluminium, the AliDeck Lite Board achieves A2fl-s1 fire rating, meaning that they have no contribution to the spread of fire and exceed legislation requirements.
