“I’ve always been driven by finding a better way to do anything. I started my first business in 2005 – Able Canopies – and quickly realised that the materials used in canopy design were far from ideal. So, I set about redesigning everything to produce a superior and dependable product and service.

AliDeck started through a realisation that the composite decking we often used was also not up to the job. It quickly became an unattractive garden feature when it warped and faded. My focus turned to aluminium as the right material to use to create the ‘better way’ forward for decking and we launched the first aluminium decking board to the UK market in 2015.

Following the Grenfell tragedy, it became clear that there was a real and growing need to provide fire-retardant decking for balconies, terraces and walkways and that our products were the ideal solution.

Before long we had created new products that needed their own brand – AliRail for balcony balustrades – AliClad for non-combustible soffit cladding and AliPave to easily allow for paving on balconies. We quickly found ourselves creating the market for complete decking and balcony component systems.
