AliDeck Publish UK Balcony Fires Report

AliDeck recently collated shocking data after contacting different fire and rescue services around the UK, finding out the main causes of fires on balconies.

After analysing the data, it came as no surprise to the AliDeck team to find out that the use of smoking materials is the largest cause of fires on balconies, with hundreds of balcony fires occurring around the country in the last 3 years due to smoking.

Training Academy ID Cards

First Training Academy cards issued

AliDeck were pleased to hand out their first batch of Training Cards to a group of cohorts who attended an AliDeck Training Academy session.

To accompany the trainees’ certificate of completion, we wanted to provide our AliDeck trained students with a card so they are quickly able to demonstrate their status of being an approved and competent AliDeck installer.

Composite Decking In Skip

Composite decking skipped due to EWS1

As the AliDeck team arrived for a site visit recently, they came across the sad sight of thousands of pounds of brand-new composite decking thrown away in skips.

New regulations require that all materials used in the external envelope, including in balconies, are A Rated and non-combustible. Composite decking is, at best, B Rated for combustibility and simply not compliant with the new requirements.

Penthouse Installation

AliDeck visit Woolwich penthouse installation

AliDeck visited one of our recent installations in Woolwich at a penthouse and were delighted to see our aluminium decking seamlessly integrate into a high-end, highly specified apartment.

Using our 20mm Junior Flat Board, our aluminium decking was installed across the whole development, into hundreds of balconies across the six or seven high and low-rise blocks.
